Hello! It seems appropriate to talk about hurricanes this month thanks to Dorian.  Having a tropical storm or hurricane headed your direction doesn’t have to be overwhelmingly stressful.  However, if you waited until the last minute the two articles I have this month are awesome for making sure you have thought of everything!

To save yourself some stress, have you thought and taken care of everything you can before there is a threat? The stores are have already started running out of things, and the lines at gas stations are long.  If you are prepared, who do you know that just moved here, or who is older and could use help?  I found this very detailed PDF called “How to Prepare for a Hurricane”  If you think you may be an expert turn to page 10 of this PDF and test your hurricane preparedness knowledge.  If you know someone who needs some help knowing how to be prepared, shares this.    https://www.fema.gov/media-library/assets/documents/98105. This link will take you to a website so you can download the PDF.

Have you thought about what you will do during and after the storm?  What if you must evacuate? Where will you go?  Who will you call if a tree goes through your roof?  Who will clean up your home if it floods?  Where will you stay while your home is being repaired?  What if it takes months or a year?  Make a list of possible scenarios and take the time to research each company before there is a need.  There are a lot of scammers who will come in after the storm and take advantage of your bad situation.  Save these emergency contacts in your phone.  “What to do after the Storm”  can help you prepare for the worst. https://gallery.mailchimp.com/d807f9787ccfe4fed50f810d6/files/5c9766b0-5cdf-4737-8cec-dd4494902233/Storm_Plan.01.pdf

When a tropical storm or hurricane hits, our normal operations switch into storm mode.  We create emergency response teams.  One team extracts, and then another comes behind with the equipment. We are able to work as quickly as possible.   During Matthew and Irma crews from other PuroCleans came to stay with us to assist with the cleanup with manpower and more equipment.  We also assist outside of our home area and other states when there are large amounts of storm damage.

We are ready to serve you and get things back to normal.  Please save our emergency number to your cell phone: 904-573-3566.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about how PuroClean Emergency Services could help you or your business.

Please prepare, and be safe,
